Minnesota–St. Thomas Women’s Basketball Clash Rescheduled
MINNEAPOLIS – The first in-season showdown between the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball teams will wait 24 hours longer than planned.
Originally slated for Dec. 1, the matchup has been moved to Dec. 2 and will still be played at Williams Arena — “The Barn” — presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
The date change slightly reshapes the early-season calendar but doesn’t dull the intrigue around a local battle that has quickly become a circle-it fixture for fans on both sides of the river.
For those trying to lock in their seats, the ticket rollout is already mapped out. Season tickets, which secure access to all home games, are on sale now. Single-game tickets open in phases: season ticket holders get first crack on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. CT, followed by Gopher Score members on Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The general public can join the queue starting Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. CT.
Tipoff time, TV and streaming details, along with the full promotional schedule, will land later. For now, the date is set, the venue is set, and one of Minnesota’s most intriguing women’s college matchups has a new spot on the calendar.
