Caitlin Clark’s Signature Sneaker Era Begins with Caitlin 1

The Indiana Fever barely have time to let the gold medals cool.

Fresh off a triumphant run at the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Germany, Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and head coach Stephanie White jump straight back into WNBA business on Friday against the Toronto Tempo. Four regular-season games remain before the 2026 playoffs begin, and the Fever’s stars return with hardware, momentum and, in Clark’s case, a new kind of spotlight.

This time, it’s on her feet.

“We Are Very Close”

Clark didn’t need a press conference to set the basketball world buzzing. One short post on X did the job.

“We are very close,” she wrote, teasing the arrival of her first Nike signature shoe.

She wasn’t exaggerating. Nike is set to launch the Caitlin 1 on October 1, 2026, marking a major milestone in Clark’s rapid rise from Iowa phenomenon to global headliner. The debut drop comes in two colorways: Caitlin Blue and Warning Code, a one-two punch to kick off what Nike clearly expects to be a long-running franchise.

The rollout doesn’t stop there. Throughout the rest of the year, more looks will hit shelves: Midnight Fever, Cave Stone, Purple Venom and Ice Cold, according to Sports Illustrated. Additional colorways are already lined up for 2027, a clear sign that this isn’t a one-off experiment but a full-scale signature line.

And it’s not just about the shoes. Nike is building an entire Caitlin 1 collection around her, with apparel ranging from shirts to jackets to pants. The line leans on Nike’s Aero-FIT performance tech and Standard Issue Stretch, blending on-court function with the off-court style that has become part of Clark’s brand.

The price point lands at $140, putting the Caitlin 1 squarely in the premium performance category.

Inside the Caitlin 1

Nike has started to pull back the curtain on how the shoe came to life.

To fuel the anticipation, the company released a behind-the-design video detailing the creative process alongside the Indiana Fever star. Clark didn’t just lend her name; she leaned into the details, working hands-on with designers to shape how the shoe looks, feels and performs.

“A lot of thought and time has gone into this shoe,” Clark said in a press release. “I never thought I would have my own signature shoe, and now that I do, it’s pretty special. I can’t wait to share this moment with so many people.”

The tech under the storytelling is serious. The Caitlin 1 introduces Nike Opticast in the upper, built to provide lightweight, locked-in support and cut down drag as guards like Clark sprint, stop and launch from deep. Under the forefoot, Nike has loaded in Air Zoom Turbo cushioning, designed for guards who live on quick bursts, sharp cuts and long-range jumpers.

This isn’t a lifestyle sneaker that happens to work on the court. It’s engineered around the way Clark plays.

From 35-Foot Threes to Kids’ Dreams

Clark’s impact has always stretched beyond the box score, and her signature shoe aims at that same space.

“I hope every boy and girl put this shoe on and hope that they can have a signature one day, or that they can go on the court and make 35-foot threes,” she said. “I hope this gives them that sense of belief and that sense of confidence to achieve whatever they want to.”

That’s the heart of the project. The Iowa native has gone from filling college arenas to driving record WNBA audiences and now anchoring a global brand line. The Caitlin 1 turns that journey into something tangible for the next generation to lace up.

While the Fever chase playoff positioning and ride the confidence of a World Cup gold, Clark steps into a rare tier of stardom. She’s not just leading a franchise or a national team anymore.

She’s leading a movement, one signature step at a time.
