Real Madrid's Endrick Downplays Football Pressure, Highlights Challenges Faced by Ordinary Workers

Real Madrid forward Endrick has openly dismissed the idea that professional footballers endure unbearable pressure. Speaking while on international duty with Brazil, he compared the privileged life of top athletes to the difficult reality faced by everyday workers.

A Different View on Pressure

The young Brazilian star admitted that matches can bring tense moments but insisted that competing at the elite level does not qualify as a hard life. Instead, he emphasized the life-changing financial rewards players receive, which impact their families in ways ordinary workers might only dream of.

Comments to Brazilian Media

In an interview with Brazilian channel TV Globo, Endrick stressed gratitude for what football offers. He said: "We [footballers] face enormous pressure, but we have to be grateful for what football provides us. Of course there are high-pressure moments, but football gives us wonderful things that can change our families' lives."

He continued, dismissing complaints about pressure: "It isn’t hard being a footballer. Yes, certain things that happen are difficult, but we cannot claim that being a player is hard. What’s hard is being someone who wakes up at 5am to go to work, labouring Monday to Sunday."

Appreciation for Privilege

Endrick showed a maturity beyond his years by urging fellow professionals to appreciate their fortunate position rather than complain about external demands. He added: "We are inside football, doing what we love most and earning money that can change our family’s life. We just have to thank God for this moment."

Upcoming Matches and Club Situation

After starting in Brazil’s 1-1 draw against Australia in Townsville, Endrick might be benched for the upcoming friendly against Australia in Brisbane. Coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to rotate the squad as Brazil completes its tour with a match against India. Once the international break finishes, the teenager will head back to Spain aiming to earn more minutes at Real Madrid, where he has featured for just four minutes so far this season.
