Behind-the-Scenes Formula 1 Experience in Singapore

Singapore fans will get a rare, behind-the-scenes taste of Formula 1 before the lights go out at Marina Bay, with ballots now open for the Thursday Pit Lane Experience on October 8.

Up to 4,500 fans will be allowed onto the famous pit lane at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, walking past the team garages as mechanics and engineers ready the cars and equipment for Singapore Grand Prix weekend. It is the closest most spectators will ever get to the inner sanctum of a race team without a paddock pass.

The event takes place on the Thursday before the Circuit Park officially opens for the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, which runs from October 9 to 11. The sprint race is scheduled for October 10, with the main night race set for October 11 under the floodlights.

The pit lane walk is only part of the attraction. Fans will also be able to roam Zone 1’s F1 Village, with interactive activities lined up for the evening to build momentum ahead of the first competitive session of the weekend.

The public ballot is open exclusively to Singapore citizens and permanent residents, and crucially, fans do not need to hold a race ticket to enter. Each successful applicant will receive a pair of tickets to the Thursday Pit Lane Experience, turning it into an easy gateway to bring a friend or family member into the sport’s orbit.

Balloting is already underway and closes on September 18 at 11.59pm Singapore time. Entries must be submitted via the official website, and successful applicants will be notified separately once the draw is complete.

The Thursday Pit Lane Experience sits under the RevUpSG banner, a programme designed to pull Formula 1 off the track and into the city, giving fans fresh ways to connect with the sport long before the first car barrels into Turn 1.
