Lionel Messi Adds $10.4 Million Yacht to His Expanding Business Ventures

Lionel Messi, the star of Inter Miami, has made a bold statement with the purchase of a €10 million ($10.4 million) luxury yacht. This new addition is a 28-metre Sunreef ULTIMA 88 power catamaran, custom-built to blend family comfort with business ambitions.

The vessel, currently under construction in the United Arab Emirates by Sunreef Yachts, features twin 1,000-horsepower engines, a spacious master suite spanning the full width of the boat, and four guest cabins. It also boasts a dedicated garage for Jet Skis and an Ocean Lounge with direct water access, making it perfect for family time and luxury escapes.

A Family-Friendly Yacht with Business Potential

Messi has expressed how much he values spending time at sea with his family, stating, "It’s a real pleasure to join the Sunreef family. My family and I have always loved spending time at sea... Sunreef Yachts have the style and features I really like."

Francis Lapp, founder and CEO of Sunreef, welcomed Messi warmly, proud of this collaboration. The yacht will not just serve as a private retreat but will also be part of Messi’s MIM Ocean charter fleet based in Spain’s Balearic Islands, merging leisure with business.

Expanding Beyond Football

Messi’s acquisition of this luxury yacht comes alongside his growing involvement in Spanish football. He recently became the owner of CD Eldense, a club founded in 1921 and situated in Elda, Alicante. Eldense sees this takeover as the start of a fresh chapter focused on sporting success and community development while keeping its local roots intact.

This move follows Messi’s earlier investment in UE Cornellà, a fifth-tier Spanish team he bought in April 2026, marking a step up in his football ownership journey.

Besides football clubs, Messi is also exploring potential stakes in Inter Miami after his playing contract concludes, showing he’s planning for life after his active career.

A Growing Portfolio

From luxury yachts to football clubs, Messi is shaping a diverse portfolio that reaches beyond the pitch. His new Sunreef yacht perfectly represents this: a family-friendly vessel designed for relaxation that also serves a commercial purpose through charters.
