Alex Pereira Hints at Major UFC Fight Ahead: ‘Big Challenge’

Alex Pereira Prepares for a Significant UFC Bout

Alex Pereira, a top UFC fighter, has revealed he faces a "big challenge" soon inside the Octagon. Pereira hasn't fought since losing by TKO to Ciryl Gane at UFC Freedom 250 in June. That match was his shot at the interim UFC heavyweight title, but it didn't go his way.

Despite the setback, Pereira is eager to return and claims the UFC has lined up a major test for him.

Pereira's Upcoming Fight Teased on Social Media

On his Instagram story, Pereira shared a hint about his next fight, saying, "It's coming. Good news, that's right, a big challenge. Like I told you, if I hadn't taken risks in all my fights I wouldn't be who I am today."

Who Might Be Next for Pereira?

The most likely opponent seems to be Sergei Pavlovich, known for his knockout power. Both fighters pack serious punch power, making their potential matchup a thrilling prospect for fans. It promises to be a battle filled with heavy strikes and possibly a knockout finish.

If Pereira wins against Pavlovich or whoever his next opponent turns out to be, he could earn a shot at the winner of UFC 334’s heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit, the leading contender.

Pereira, who previously held UFC titles at light heavyweight and middleweight, has long aimed to become the first fighter to hold championships in three weight classes. This ambition led him to vacate his 205-pound belt and move up to heavyweight.

Though his initial bout with Gane ended in defeat, a victory over Pavlovich might set up a rematch with Gane in 2027.
