Tyson Fury Calls Out Oleksandr Usyk for November Showdown

Tyson Fury has thrown another grenade into the heavyweight landscape, publicly calling out Oleksandr Usyk for a November showdown while still contracted to face Anthony Joshua next.

The long-discussed all-British blockbuster between Fury and Joshua is already on paper, with both fighters having signed individual contracts. The target remains November. The problem is everything around it.

Venue politics have dragged the announcement into limbo. Organisers are pushing hard for a US staging, chasing global exposure and commercial muscle, while Joshua has been firm in his preference for a homecoming epic under the arch at Wembley Stadium. That tug of war has stalled any official confirmation and, in Fury’s eyes, opened the door for doubt.

He kicked that door wide open with an expletive-laden Instagram video, accusing Joshua of backing away from the fight and declaring himself on the hunt for a new opponent.

“This will only lead me to a fight with Oleksandr Usyk,” Fury said, turning his attention to the former undisputed champion he has already shared 24 punishing rounds with.

Fury then aimed his words at both men at once, framing Usyk as Joshua’s guide and Joshua as unwilling to face him.

“Oleksandr you're his [Joshua's] trainer and his sensei and you know he is a weak minded... and that he would never fight the Gypsy King which you have had the guts to do twice.

“You got the decisions last time, fair play to you.

“Good luck to you, let's do it again. Let's run it back in November. The ball is now in your court... do you want to fight me this year, 2026, or are you calling quits?

“Let me know because I am now looking for a new opponent.”

In a division where contracts are signed, venues debated and dates pencilled in, Fury has once again chosen a different route: apply pressure in public, drag rivals into his world, and dare them to say no.
