North Dakota Hosts Florida Atlantic for Historic Clash
Bronson Field gets a little piece of program history on Sunday.
After a bruising two-game swing through California that yielded a 0-1-1 record, North Dakota returns to Grand Forks for a noon kickoff against Florida Atlantic, the first meeting between the two programs. The series stands at 0-0-0, and Bronson Field will host its opening chapter.
It’s a single-game week for the Fighting Hawks, and that raises the stakes. No midweek fixture to smooth things out, no quick turnaround to fix mistakes. One match, one chance to reset before the non-conference schedule winds down. This is UND’s second-to-last non-conference game of the 2026 slate, and it comes at a moment when rhythm and results matter most.
The storyline is simple enough. A team that has just spent time on the road, tested on the West Coast, now walks back into its home ground searching for a sharper edge and a winning response. The Owls arrive as unfamiliar opponents, but that only adds to the intrigue: no history, no baggage, just a clean slate and 90 minutes to write the first entry.
Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. (Noon) CT at Bronson Field in Grand Forks, where UND will look to turn travel lessons into home-field authority and carry that momentum into the heart of its season.
